YAY!!! I found my font.

When I switched to mac 4 years ago, the only file that didn't transfer out of all the crap I had was a font called Blue Island which sucked since it is my all time favorite font. Well, today I found it on the wonderful internet. I'm so happy...and I just realized that I'm a complete dork.

sick day :(

I'm off work today due to strep throat which sucks since it's the middle of summer. I'm doing a lot of watching of the TV and so far I've discovered that I'm in love with the 1954 Kaiser Darrin that I saw on the Barrett Jackson Auction and later on today....SHARK WEEK!!!

Some abandoned buildings

Jessie and I took a trip to the Ridges in Athens last Sunday. We were able to get into the old TB ward with very little effort. The places is creepy as hell and I doubt I'll ever go back. There was a lot of activity outside with people driving up to the building. When Jessie and I left, a cop was driving up the road towards the ward. After that we found an old burned up school that was very easy to get into and then some rusted trains. Jessie and I are now paranoid that we either got: TB, asbestos or black mold. Next time we're wearing face masks.

Louie

My very good friend, Jessie came over last saturday for a slumber party and took some amazing shots of Jer, Louie and I with her new ring flash. Her and I also went on an adventure to some abandoned buildings on Sunday that I will be posting in a few days.

iPhone 2.0

Now that the iPhone software 2.0 has been released, I've been obsessed with playing with all the free applications that are avilable. Here are a list of my favs:

Loopt
Loopt uses location technology that lets you see where your friends currently are. Perfect app for keeping track of that significant other, and a must have for any stocker.

When you hear a song and wonder what it is, just hold you iPhone to the music and within seconds Shazam will tell you the artist and track name. It's powerful too, I've been able to capture background music playing in stores.

2008 GoodGuys Nationals

The GoodGuys Nationals was this weekend in Columbus. I only ended up going one day for two hours because of the rain. I was lucky to get the shots I did. More images on my Flickr account.

Shawshank Prison 14 years later

Jessie and I went on a little adventure Sunday to Mansfield Ohio where the movie Shawshank Redemption was filmed. It was actually shot at Ohio State Reformatory which holds tours every Sunday. It was well worth the $8. It's very interesting to see how the same rooms that were in the movie 14 years ago look like today.

Every year I go to the Goodguys HotRod Nationals at the Columbus fairgrounds. This year it's the 10-13th and I can't wait. Here's a preview of the past few years.
