The real life Fairview

Wisteria Lane might be the picture perfect setting on Desperate Housewives, but what would it look like in real life? Behold New Albany Ohio, where the average house is 800K and there are white fences everywhere. With perfection like this, it's no wonder that Abercrombie & Fitch Home Office is located here.

Cedar Pont 2008

Jer and I went with some friends to Cedar Point for the weekend and I ended up having the best time I've every had there. I thought it was going to be packed since it was Memorial Day weekend, but the most we had to wait was 1.5hr for the Maverick, everything else was about a 15-45min wait.

Oakley Collection

I was photographing my computer room the other day and doing some close up shots of my Oakley display cases and realized that I haven't posted about Oakley in a while, in fact I don't think I ever posted about my collection.

Back in 1999 I read the article "Supreme O" in Wired magazine about the sunglass company Oakley that started my obsession. The company prides itself on innovation & quality. Their designs are copied and envied over other sunglass companies. What really got my attention was Oakleys attention to detail and how they nitpick over details smaller than five-thousandths of an inch. Oakley has over 450+ patents and using materials like Titanium, Plutonite, Iridium, X Metal just to name a few.

In the spring of 2005, I started a fan site called OaklyeIcon.com named after their apparel line. By the winter I was contacted by Oakley who wanted to purchase the domain from me. At the time I really wanted to work as a designer for the company. I thought if I asked a lot of money for the domain I would kill any chances of working for them. I ended up selling the domain for $300, (which looking back makes me nauseous) and never hearing from them as a job opportunity. I started up another fan site (O-Desktops.com) that I have yet to hear from them on.
My current collection consists of 15 pairs of Oakleys. Most were bought from 2000-2003 when Oakley was doing their most radical designs (9 are discontinued) and 4 watches including Time Tank and Time Bomb.

Nick Hogan sentenced to 8 months in jail

Today in Clearwater, Florida, a judge sentenced Nick Bollea, son of famous WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan, to eight months in jail for reckless driving. Last August Bollea crashed his father's yellow modified Toyota Supra into a palm tree while street racing. Not only did he total the car, but his friend John Graziano who was riding shotgun that night will now require lifetime medical care for his critical injuries. The young Hogan was reportedly led off to serve his sentence immediately after it was handed down by the judge. In addition to the jail time, Bollea will also be on probation for five years and lose his drivers license for three. After all the hoopla that's led us to this point in Nick Bollea's tragic story, the only thing we can say is that the roads are probably safer tonight.

2010 Mustang GT = my next car

Last spring we traded in Jers Eclipse for a For Edge after Jer pouted like a little kid that he wanted a new car. At the time I was pissed because my car was older therefor we should have traded in mine. However, it's a good thing we waited because I've decided what my next car will be; 2010 Mustang GT. If any of you readers would like to contribute to my Mustang fund, please email me and I'll give you the info where to send the cash ;)

I know the Ford Giugiaro Mustang is just a Concept, but it's nice to dream.
