Some cool things I'm about to order...

Eggling

The precious, little eggling looks and feels like an extra large egg, but crack its top and discover a garden ready to grow! Cultivation is easy — seeds are already sown into eggling’s fortified peat mixture, just crack it’s top (by tapping on it with a spoon), water and place in bright spot. Plants grow for up to five months in the eggling, after which it can be planted directly in soil.

The Ex

This unique artistic knife holder is made of heavy duty ABS plastic and will be the talk of the party! It's an innovative knife suspension system with individual protective knife sleeves for each blade. The five knives are made from heavy gauge durable stainless steel. The slots are magnetized to secure knives in the holder.

Wire Wraps

Mummy, Zombie and Death have finally been captured but need to be tied down to keep them from escaping again. Tie these creatures up with your iPod or cellphone wires!

Pitbull

Mallett was one of the first aftermarket companies to shoehorn a V8 into the diminutive engine bay of the Pontiac Solstice. While an amazing feat, the resultant car still looked like a normal four-cylinder Solstice. At this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, however, Mallett will be debuting this car, the Pitbull Edition V8 Solstice, that gives this roadster some sharp teeth to back up its bite. The Pitbull Edition is highlighted by a six-piece body kit made of fiberglass, though it will also be available by special order in carbon fiber for the weight watchers among us. Up front the new fenders increase the car's width by four inches, and out back another five inches is granted to allow for a much larger wheel/tire combo all around. The revised front fascia with a new lower air intake and scooped hood also allow for more air to reach the big engine. Only a limited number of Pitbuil Edition V8 Solstices will be made by Mallett at a cost of $16,000 to $18,000 above the normal price of the V8 conversion car. You'll get the requisite badging and signed dash plaques, though, in case you need to auction the car when your kids demand their college fund back.

Inniswood Photomerges

I've been doing a lot of experimentation with photography lately. I'm still doing HDR once in a while along with my favorite B&W + color images, but I'm liking some of the abstract stuff I've been generating. The following images are done with Photomerge in Photoshop CS3. I've strayed from doing typical panoramic images that are usually rectangle. Instead, I stand in one spot and just start snapping shots, combining vertical and horizontal (kind of like QTVR). Images were shot with a Canon PowerShot SD500 (pocket point n' shoot).

Here is an example of what the merged image looks like before I do some tweaking. The unusual edge is created automatically and varies depending on the angle the shots were taken. (Notice the layers pallet with all the merged images)

2007 Columbus Arts Festival

Last night Jer, I and some friends went downtown to the Columbus Arts Festival. There were lots of venders & tons of people... way too many people. I hate being outdoors and feeling claustrophobic from all the people crowding you. Anyway, here are some random pics I took throughout the night.

It's getting hot out herre

Thanks to global warming it's been so damn hot out lately that I haven't been taking pictures like I should. Instead I'm either in my hammock or at the pool, which by the way I got super burnt (but now I'm all tan). I've been playing around in illustrator trying to rework some older images so I can have something to share with your guys. I try to post cool images and useful links, but in my attempts to keep you coming back I may have to resort to posting amateurish images from my little point and shoot jobber until I get motivated enough to shoot some good stuff.
