2006... goodbye

2006 has been one of the best years for me. I had a huge interview with A&Fs' design department which I ended up passing on and staying with Apple instead. It was a good choice because I got a promotion becoming a "Creative."

Jer and I also bought a new townhouse this year in the prestigious New Albany, which one of Jers' friends refers to it as The Truman Show.

I sharpened my skills as a photographer and even had a gallery hanging, redid my websites (all 4 of them), and traveled out west to CA.

New Years Resolution:
I'm not big on resolutions, but I will try my damnedest to work out more and try to bulk up.

Have a good New Year!!

Merry Christmas!

This year was a good Christmas. We had friends over for Christmas Eve and our friend Ross ended up spending the night. Jer got me tons of clothes from A&F and Ruehl. Most are muscle shirts so it looks like I have to bulk up in the new year. Hope you all had a good day!

out with the old...

The blog has been up for a year and I'm getting sick of the design, so here's a little change. I'm actually surprised that I kept the blog going. I've tried livejournal before and got bored after a few months. I think it's knowing that over 58,000 of you have logged on that keeps me motivated. Thanks to all that have posted comments and have sent me emails, I love hearing from you all.

photo retouching

Here's a little Photoshop work I did for a fellow employee. This was the first time I tried adding color to a B&W image.

Unexpected trip home

My father sent me this email on Friday:

".Bob,Check out Pic's! Police said : You're lucky to be alive! I had a little accident, it wasn't my fault, I was almost hit in a headon collision.   Love, Dad     P.S. Looks like Moms getting a new car, the insurance called this morning and said they totaled the car.   Bye for now,    Love ya  Dad !!!!!!!! Please be safe."

Of course after reading the email I was freaking out. I called him up to find out want happened and ended up going home for the weekend because I was a little shaken up by everything.

This sucks for my parents. Dad just retired a few months ago and ordered a new truck. A day after his accident, the truck came in and now they have to go out and buy my mother a new car as well.

Who's the BOSS

I know I haven't been posting lately. It isn't because I'm getting tired of the blog, it's just nothing exciting is happening. The weather is super cold so I've been inside a lot and not too much happens that is blog worthy...except for my recent purchases.

Last week Jer and I went out looking for Christmass decorations and I came up with the brilliant idea to go to Z gallery and use up the $75 gift card my mother got me a while ago. While we were there I noticed that there was the matching chair to our couch that we bought a few years back. The chair (apporpiatey named BOSS) was half off and we couldn't pass it up. Someone had ordered it then decided they didn't want it so Z galley had to get rid of it ASAP. So yesterday Jer and I rented a truck and went to pick it up. We figured since we had to rent a truck, we might as well buy more things we needed for the house. We made the journey accross the mall to Crate & Barrel where we bought a hallway organizer. Both peices look so perfect in the townhouse, it's almost like walking into one of the store displays.

Ok so here's the good part. While we were waiting around for Crate & Barrel to open, Jer and I went to Panera for lunch. So were sitting there and one of the managers starting shouting at someone saying "Sur, NO!!" I looked around to see what was going on and the manager made eye contach with me and told me to turn around, which I did untill I realized that he can't tell me what to do and I looked back to see what was going on. There was a homeless guy in the back corner sitting down. He had whipped "it" out and started peeing. People were screaming and walking out. It didn't seem to phase Jer however, as he continued to finish his lunch. That little inscodent left me a little disturebed the rest of the day.

Actual dialog between and employee and a customer.

Customer: Do you think black was the right choice, or do you like the blue one better?

Trent: I think the blue one is a little girly myself.

Trent: But then again, I'm a herm.

Customer: (looks up with puzzled expression)

Trent: I have an X & Y chromosome . . . you know, like Jamie Lee Curtis.

Trent: Have a nice day.
