I'm so chill
I was doing so good not buying pointless things while here in CA . . . that is until tonight when I found an Oakley store. Um, yeah . . . looks like I won't be getting a new computer for a while.
$1,300 and worth every penny.

Update from CA
So far I haven't got to do a lot of sight seeing. We went to SF last night and I got some OK shots. I'm not totally happy with them, then again, I'm having to edit everything on my little powerbook so the colors are off. We're heading back up there today, so I'll get better shots.
Having a blast. Later.

Shawshank Prison
Jer and I did a little adventure today. We took a tour of Shawshank State Prison (aka Ohio State Reformatory). The prison is located an hour north of Columbus in the town of Mansfield.
About 70% of Shawshank Redemption was filmed in Mansfield. We also visited the big oak tree that was at the end of the movie (located about 20min away). The "big hayfield" as mentioned in the movie is actually very small and the filed was of weeds, not hay. The remaining wall by the tree was a little less then rubble. I found out the rest of the wall was sold piece by piece on ebay...sad.
(check out "Urban Exploration" & "HDR" in my xtra section for pictures)

xtra stuff
I've been spending some time updating parts of my websites. For this one, I gave the "xtra stuff" section (on the right hand side) an overhaul. I added some galleries and a section for the abandoned train (see last post). I'm still working out some bugs with the navigation and such. Please let me know what you think...some suggestions to be changed or added.

Train in HDR
I made the journey to Nelsonville again to take pictures of the abandoned trains. I shot almost everything in HDR giving the images a very surreal look. I will be posting all the shots in a few days.

Americas Roller Coast
Jer and I went to CedarPoint for the day on Sunday. The weather started out cloudy then soon cleared up by mid afternoon. I haven't been to CP for 5 years so it felt good going back. This time I brought my cameras. I had my little point & shoot and my Holga.
