My new Holga

Back in high school I took a B&W photography class which spawned a new hobby for me. I loved being in the dark room and the whole process of exposing film. Soon after, digital cameras became popular and the dark rooms were replaced with computer labs. I've acquired 5 digital cameras over the past few years, but i always had the most fun with film. One of my good friends, Jordy (JordanneRenner.com) still shoots film. In fact, not only does she shoot film, but it's medium format with a cheep Holga camera. Her work is amazing and has inspired me to start shooting film again.

My new Holga arrived today from B&H. I already shot one roll and can't wait till my next day off to go play :)

Day at The Beach

Today Jer, Ross and I went to The Beach (a water park, not a "real" one) in Cincinnati. I'm not much for water parks (more of a roller coaster guy), but I had fun. It ended up being around 92 degrees out so it was a good choice. My tan ended up getting a lot darker just in time for Summer :)

Columbus at night

Last night I went out taking pictures of downtown Columbus. This was the first time I have ever done any kind of night photography. All the images were composited with 3 different exposures to give the surreal effect. Critiques welcome.

time to relax

I managed to get 5 days off in a row (and only had to use one vacation day).

It's 4:00 and I already washed and waxed my car, walked the dog, and worked on my tan by the pool for a few hours. I'm planning on heading downtown this evening to get some night shots of the city (something I've been wanting to do ever since I moved here).

I got a lot of stuff put away in the new place so I can get back to regularly posing to my blog. Thanks for all your emails over the past few weeks, glad to see you guys like all my sites.

I've decided to create yet another website making the grand total of 5 different sites that I maintain (can you say "big dork"). Most of you know that I recently moved to New Albany. I've become so fascinated with the history and town design that I made a little website about the it. The site is still being designed so a few of the links don't work and I need to add some more pics and text.
