the big day

I get to finally close on my townhouse today. Wednesday I did my first walkthrough and there wasn't too much that needed fixed. Today I go back at 3:30 for the second walkthrough and to sign my life away. I'm way past the stage of being scared that every last dime will go to pay my mortgage, but it's worth it right? Since this is going to be the place where I'll be spending at least the next 10 years of my life, I don't want to be looking back in 3 years wishing I had got a bigger place to accommodate all my shit. This will be the only debt I have. All my credit cards and loans are paid off, so everything should balance out (fingers crossed).

*sigh* I will be spending the later part of the afternoon and the weekend painting every room (A freedom that I didn't possess at the apartment).

closing date

I finally heard back on the townhouse deal. I will get to do my first walkthrough this Wednesday and do the final closing on Friday. It's about time. I have all my shit packed up and I'm getting tired of looking at boxes all around me. The first thing I got to do is paint a few of the rooms. Every room is painted white and that's just too plain for me. I've been trying to plan out the coming weeks. It's going to be so hectic. I work 8:30-5:30 then I'll be heading to the townhouse to paint after work.

Todays weather is shit. I think I'm going to go get some furniture for the new place.

happy freggin' Sunday

So my day started out by me waking up at the ass-crack of dawn (6:30). I putzed around for a few hours then decided to head over to the townhouse to see if any progress has been made. What a shock to see nothing was touched. I'm supposed to be closing on this damn place this week and I don't see how their going to finish everything in time.

Eh, so I drove around my new little town.....er, village (as the sign pointed out). New Albany looks like it was plucked from the set of Desperate Housewives. Every house is perfect. There is not one dandelion to be seen. The average house is $700K. And the best part, there are perfect white fences EVERYWHERE!!

Then I come back to my current (hopefully not for long) dwelling which after driving around New Albany, looks like the projects.

I wast the rest of my day deleting shit from my hard drive and reorganizing my browser bookmarks (so thrilling).

Here's a few wast of space photo files that I trashed.
Later.
